1. When is the best time to see my baby?  We begin our ultrasounds at 6 weeks and perform them throughout pregnancy.  There are breath-taking moments all stages of gestation as can be seen in our picture gallery, although weeks 28-34 tend to work best if only focused on full facial features that reflect baby's appearance at birth.
2. Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my ultrasound? if your ultrasound if for 13 weeks or less we do recommend arriving with a comfortably full bladder.  For all other ultrasounds, proper hydration during the course of the pregnancy especially the week leading up to your visit will greatly increase the ability to obtain high quality images.  14 weeks and after a full bladder is not necessary but we do see an increase in baby's activity when moms drink something cold, or have a sugary snack at least 25 minutes before their visit.  Please drink 8-12 ounces of water approximately 30 minutes prior to your Sneak Peek Early Gender DNA test.
3. Will I always be able to see my baby's face?  Most of the time but not always.  We aim to get a minimum of 2/3 of baby's face in a picture when possible but there are several factors that can impede a view of the face.  All sessions that include the "Shy Baby Guarantee" are generally invited back for a free extension of their visit to try again within 15 days of the original session.
4. How accurate is the Sneak Peek testing and what is the money back policy?  Tests are 99.9% accurate at 6 weeks and beyond with a full money back guarantee if results are incorrect. INCONCLUSIVE RESULTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED INCORRECT RESULTS.  Although it does not happen often there are times a sample will not yield enough fetal DNA to produce a conclusive result.  In these rare instances the opportunity to re-test within 10 business days will be provided free of charge.  If a family is unable to re-test for any reason a refund will be processed for the full amount minus either the $30 shipping and processing fee for standard 2–3-day lab results (Terre Haute Only) or minus the $50 overnight express handling and processing fee for 1–2-day fast track results (Evansville & Terre Haute).  As an alternative, a family may also request to have their Sneak Peek Early Gender DNA test credit be converted into a Deluxe Package with an 8k image upgrade at no cost ($154 value).
5. If my Sneak Peak Results are delayed, will I receive a refund?  There are times the transportation of a Sneak Peek sample may be delayed due to weather or other events beyond the control of Baby Blessings Ultrasound Studio.  If we become aware of a delay, we will reach out with any information we have on when to expect results.  For families expecting 1–2-day results Baby Blessings will offer a courtesy $20 credit to be applied towards a future full-length ultrasound.  This credit is stackable with the $20 Sneak Peek Discount when choosing the Deluxe Package Option.  To this date we have not yet encountered a delay long enough to impact standard 2–3-day results.
6. Are ultrasounds harmful to my baby?  Ultrasound has been performed and studied for over 30 years during which time no evidence has shown any harm to baby or mother. The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) officially states “No confirmed biological effects on patients or instrument operators caused by exposure at intensities typical of present diagnostic ultrasound equipment have ever been reported.”  To ensure the safety and comfort of both mom and baby, Baby Blessings abides by FDA guidelines regarding the recommend time limits for ultrasounds and scanning duration.
7. Can you tell me if something is wrong with my baby?  We do not perform diagnostic medical ultrasounds and are unable to draw any medical conclusions regarding the health or well being of your baby from a medical stand point.  In the event we identify something out of the ordinary or are unable to obtain a heartbeat Baby Blessings may notify your physician at our discretion and will advise to follow up with your medical provider. 
8. Do you accept insurance, HCA, or HSA?  Due to the elective nature of our ultrasounds we are unable to take private insurance however in most situations we are able to accept HCA and HSA cards provided there are not any restrictions in place from the card issuers benefits administrator with using Baby Blessings Ultrasound Studio as an ancillary service
9. Can I bring guests along?  At all of our locations we can comfortably accommodate 6-9 guests but you are welcome to bring more. 
10. Why do I have to come in for a complimentary visit from the shy baby guarantee within 15 days?  For the fairness of all families and to ensure baby's features stay within a comparable window of the original intended scan we have determined 15 days (1/2 month window) is an adequate and fair time frame to stay within without compromising the integrity of the original session.  The 15 day window also prevents unnecessary delays in scheduling a return visit under the guarantee.
11. What happens if I miss an appointment or had a last minute cancellation and do not pay the fee?  Upon future scheduling (current or subsequent pregnancy) the $20 or $30 fee will have to be resolved before accepting any new appointments.  We can accept payment in person or card over the phone.  For added convenience we also accept payments through CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, and Facebook Pay.
